Radio broadcasting that includes radio dramas started in 1927 under the Japanese rule. Hence, most of the programming in those days was in Japanese language and only around thirty percent only in Korean. Post the Korean War, many of the radio dramas such as Cheongsilhongsil (1954) portrayed the country’s mood. In addition to this, television broadcasting began in early 1956 with the launch of a tvb drama; an experimental radio station was launched known as HLKZ-TV. Though it closed down in a couple of years is still in the memories of the people, especially the older ones.
